Prayer of the Week: Asking Jesus to Give Us a Desire for Pursuing Him

Dear Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. We praise you and thank you for our salvation, healing, and deliverance. Please give us a heart to pursue you, Jesus. We want to grow closer to you, Lord. We need a word from you and a touch from you more than our next breath.

You said, “man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:3-5). Teach us to live day by day on the Word. Give us a heart for pursing you day and night, Jesus. Put a song in our hearts when we wake in the morning. Let your Word be our last thought when we lay down to sleep. We desire to know you intimately and worship you. Help us to put aside the distractions. Please meet us when we come to you with a seeking heart. We love you and desire you to give us a heart for pursing you, Jesus. In Your name we pray. Amen!
