About Shining Ever Brighter
Proverbs 4:18
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
I love watching sunrises. One of my favorite childhood memories of a sunrise happened when I was living in New York City. My family was traveling over the Brooklyn Bridge to Grand Central Station just as the sun was coming up over the city. It was beautiful. The sky was gold and pink, and the light of the sun reflected off the metal buildings. It looked like we were traveling towards a city made of gold. That moment would not only become one of my favorite memories of a great sunrise, but it would also become one of my favorite memories of New York.
When I think about that New York sunrise, it reminds me of another kind of sunrise. Proverbs 4:18 says, “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” This verse is so encouraging to me because it compares our spiritual walk with God to the beauty of the rising sun. When I read this verse, it reminds me that every Christian is on a journey to grow more and more into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
Shining Ever Brighter was created to encourage believers on their journey of faith through Christian living tips, prayers, and devotionals. My goal is that Shining Ever Brighter reminds us that, despite our circumstances, we are heading towards a glorious future, an eternity with our loving Heavenly Father.
