Prayer of the Week: Asking God to Guide Us as We Live for Him

Dear Father, guide me as I walk this life of faith. Help me to love your Word and treasure your instruction. Give me a thirst for Biblical truth and a desire to behave righteously. Joshua 24:15 says “as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Help me to also boldly declare my allegiance to you through both words and actions.

I need your help, Father, to serve you. Provide mentorship and accountability through my church family. Help me to spend time in your Word and memorize your principles. Remove anything in my life that threatens my ability to fully commit to you. Bless me, Father. Let your grace cover my mistakes and setbacks as I learn your ways. Convict me of my sins and guide my decisions, Lord. Expose any stumbling block to my faith. Put in my heart an unquenchable desire to worship you with both words and actions. Please, Father, continue to guide my walk of faith.

I love you, Lord. I thank you for the righteousness I have received through Jesus, and the opportunity to live out my life for you. May the Holy Spirit and your living Word be my guide as I follow you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
