Friend, Have You Met Jesus?
Hey friend, have you met Jesus? Did you know that Jesus loves you and He died for you? If you would like to learn how you can become a Christian, keep reading! I’ll share the key steps of salvation, how you can give your life to Jesus, and resources for helping you get started in the your relationship with God.
We are Born as Sinners
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
The Bible tells us that we are all born with a sinful nature—the desire to rebel against God and His laws—and the penalty for breaking God’s laws is separation from God and eternal death.
Jesus Died to Save Us
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
God loved us even as sinners and knew we needed a savior. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to take our penalty for sinning against Him. Jesus paid the price for our past, present, and future sins. In short, Jesus offers us the opportunity to restore our relationship with God and avoid eternal death. This free gift of eternal life is available through only by the grace of Jesus. It cannot be earned.
We Can Choose to Follow Him
“That everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” (John 3:15-17)
When Jesus died for us, He created an opportunity for us to have a restored relationship with God. We can now come to God freely and choose to be in a relationship with Him.
Now, Have You Met Jesus?
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
The steps to salvation are easy! First, admit that you’re a sinner. Second, ask Jesus to be your savior. Third, commit to living for God. If you’re ready to give your life to Jesus, please pray the prayer below:
Dear Jesus,
I’m a sinner, and I need a savior. I’m sorry for my sin. Please come into my life. I need you to forgive me, save me, and heal me. I believe you died on the cross and rose for me, and I received your free gift of salvation and commit to living my life for you. Thank you, Lord, for everything you’ve done for me and help me to live each day to please you.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen!
If you, by faith, prayed the prayer above, congrats! You’re now a Christian! You may not feel different, but you just made the most important decision of your life! You now have a personal relationship with God and will spend the rest of your life on the most rewarding adventure—learning how to live your life with God and for Him.
